Good-bye Camp 2011!

We knew this day would come and it has arrived: our last day of camp.  The Summer Clubhouse team has enjoyed our time spent with the best and brightest group of campers in NYC.  The feedback received from our  Summer Clubhouse families has been overwhelmingly supportive and encouraging.  Our campers are enthusiastic about the program; they arrive each morning excited about the day and leave each afternoon with stories to share about new friends and adventure.  We are looking forward to seeing you next summer.  Have a great year!

Wednesday and it is all good!

Hello again!  Every day is grand here with Summer Clubhouse.  We consider ourselves so lucky to have a great staff and wonderful campers.  We can’t believe there are only two more days left of the season!

Today we enjoyed Miss Alana’s dance class and  swim lessons with the Take Me To The Water Swim School.   I also see that our Goldfish group decorated their own tote bags.  FUN!

 

Tuesday!

Our campers have been extraordinarily pleasant and cheerful in spite of the endless days of rain.  They run into the camp building in the morning and don’t want to leave their friends at the end of the day.  Sunshine or clouds, it is all good in the eyes of our campers.  Today Miss Kim from HEART came to visit.  Campers were asked to share their visions for a peaceful world.  Their shared  thoughts  of what a peaceful world would look like were all listed on the board.  After discussing their ideas, the campers were inspired to make their own collage-boards expressing their visions.  Miss Marlie, our Yoga Instructor, visited as well.  After a 45 minute class, we were centered and refreshed!  The clouds dissipated at some point during the day and our campers were able to enjoy the roof deck and Central Park.    It has been a very nice day at Summer Clubhouse.

Monday August 15

Welcome back campers! We heard you missed us!  It may be overcast outside, but it is sunny in camp today.  Our campers enjoyed socializing, playing games, playing chess, swimming and more.   Here are some fun photos from our day.
